It's all about the antlers, apparently. Clearing up this misconception is important, at least to one pro-woman Twitter user, who wanted to make sure everybody on social media knew the truth. Three years ago, Cat Reynolds tweeted the following message, which has racked up endless likes and retweets to date.

But according to science, Christmas carolers and holiday hangers-on have had it all wrong all along. Those with the largest antlers tend to be socially dominant and in the best overall physical condition. Reindeer are fantastically well adapted to their cold habitats.

After all, with the word of the year announced to be "feminism," finding out that Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, etc. Did you know that male reindeer lose their antlers in December? Thankfully Santa is a man and knows directions or they'd never find where they're going. Didn't u know? Female reindeer don't fly; their only function is to make baby boy reindeer that will.
