Anyway, I had begun to think that this vision of a stagnated culture was a result of me being old and being unable to really get into the new stuff. But then I saw Final Destination 5 and suddenly I was completely convinced that I was totally correct.

As Peter is about to kill Molly, Sam stabs him in the back with a large skewer. Then Sam realizes he stole Agent Block's life from Peter, before the gun misses him. Two weeks later, Sam and Molly are boarding a plane to Paris, and she asks for the window seat. They see two high school students fighting and getting kicked off the plane. This group is recognizable to the audience as Alex Browning and his class.

Sam and Molly are on Flight --the film is a prequel to the first Final Destination. Sam and Molly believe that the kid is just having a panic attack. During takeoff, Sam overhears a flight attendant tell a passenger that Alex claimed to have a vision the plane is going to explode. Sam freaks out as Alex's vision begins to come true.

Molly is sucked out of the side and is cut in half by the rudder. Seconds later, the rest of the plane catches fire, burning Sam to death. As the plane goes down in flames, a flame-engulfed engine falls towards the city. Nathan is at a local bar for Roy's memorial service.

The Final Destination 5 plot twist is very effective and genuinely shocking. It also provides such an amazing full-circle ending for the franchise, and makes a full watch-through of the series very satisfying. It seems like a complete story, a very scary one at that, and feels like a proper ending.
